What is: Wellness Coaching
Navigating Life’s Transitions, Health Challenges, and Burnout with Support & Strategy
Wellness is More Than Just Health—It’s About Thriving
Wellness isn’t just about following what is recommended for things like nutrition, exercise, or stress management—it’s about creating a life that feels good from the inside out.
When you’re in the middle of a major life transition, struggling with burnout, or dealing with health challenges, the idea of prioritizing your well-being can feel overwhelming. You know something needs to change, but where do you start?
That’s where wellness coaching comes in.
A wellness coach helps you navigate the changes, challenges, and curveballs that life throws your way—from perimenopause and health scares to mid-life burnout and beyond. It’s about creating a plan that works for you, not just another list of things you "should" be doing.
Why I Believe in Wellness Coaching
In the summer of 2021, I found myself juggling more than I knew how to handle—and I had no idea who to turn to for guidance.
During this time, I was:
Supporting my mom through breast cancer treatment (She’s fine now, thankfully!)
Processing my own high-risk breast cancer status and what that meant for my health and future.
Dealing with potential perimenopause symptoms, not realizing it was perimenopause, and not getting the medical answers I needed.
Neglecting my own self-care due to overwhelm.
It was too much at once, and I felt completely lost.
After searching for answers on my own, I finally reached out to my network of coaches. I found someone that could help and a conversation with them, helped me realize that what I was experiencing wasn’t normal—and I needed to push for better medical care. That support gave me the confidence to advocate for myself, seek second (and third) opinions, and ultimately find a care plan that worked for me.
I look back and think, I could have really used a wellness coach during that time.
💡 And that’s exactly what I want to provide for others now.
Wellness coaching isn’t about replacing medical advice—there are cancer coaches and specialized professionals for that. But if you’ve been given a diagnosis and feel paralyzed about what to do next, or if you suspect something isn’t right but keep getting dismissed, I can help.
I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel lost in the healthcare system, to struggle with burnout, and to question whether what you’re experiencing is "normal." But I also know that with the right guidance, you can regain control of your well-being.
My background in Microbiology and Cell Science (pre-med, University of Florida) gives me a strong foundation in health and wellness, while my years as an athlete—competing in marathons and half-Ironman races—taught me firsthand the power of discipline, recovery, and sustainable well-being. I’ve also worked in the healthcare industry, which means I understand both the science and the real-world challenges of navigating medical advice, advocating for yourself, and making lasting lifestyle changes.
Now, as I pursue my iACT coaching certification with ICF accreditation, I’m combining scientific knowledge, personal experience, and professional training to help others find customized, practical wellness strategies that actually fit their lives. Whether you’re dealing with hormonal changes, stress, chronic health concerns, or just feeling out of balance, I can help you figure out your next steps, connect with the right support, and create a plan that truly works for you—not just in theory, but in real life.
What is Wellness Coaching?
Wellness coaching is a collaborative approach to health and well-being that helps you:
✔ Clarify your goals and create an action plan that works for your life
✔ Identify roadblocks that are holding you back (burnout, stress, overwhelm)
✔ Develop personalized strategies to build healthier, more sustainable habits
✔ Prioritize self-care—without feeling selfish or guilty
Unlike traditional health coaching, wellness coaching is holistic—meaning it takes into account your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Wellness coaching is NOT:
❌ A medical treatment or replacement for therapy
❌ A one-size-fits-all program with generic advice
❌ Just about fitness, diet, or nutrition
It’s about meeting you where you are, helping you uncover what’s really holding you back, and guiding you toward a version of wellness that fits your life.
How Wellness Coaching Supports Life’s Transitions
Many people seek wellness coaching when they feel like they’re at a crossroads—whether it’s a mid-life shift, a health scare, or simply realizing that burnout is no longer sustainable.
🌀 Menopause & Hormonal Transitions
The changes that come with perimenopause and menopause can feel overwhelming—physically, mentally, and emotionally. One day you feel fine, the next you’re dealing with:
🔹 Brain fog, fatigue, or mood swings
🔹 Unexplained anxiety or irritability
🔹 Changes in sleep, weight, or energy levels
Wellness coaching helps by:
✔ Providing personalized strategies for managing symptoms
✔ Helping you advocate for better medical care if you’re not getting answers
✔ Creating a sustainable self-care plan that actually works for your body and lifestyle
⚕️ Navigating Health Challenges
A health diagnosis—whether for you or a loved one—can be life-altering, and often the hardest part isn’t the diagnosis itself, but figuring out what to do next.
Wellness coaching helps by:
✔ Providing emotional and logistical support as you adjust to new health realities
✔ Helping you create an action plan for lifestyle changes that support healing
✔ Encouraging self-advocacy in medical settings so you get the care you need
🔥 Preventing & Recovering from Burnout
What used to be called a mid-life crisis is often just years of burnout catching up with you. You’ve spent so long prioritizing work, family, and responsibilities that you don’t even recognize yourself anymore.
Sound familiar?
✔ You’re exhausted, even after a full night’s sleep
✔ You feel disconnected from the things you used to enjoy
✔ You know you need a change, but don’t even know where to start
Wellness coaching helps by:
✔ Helping you reconnect with what actually matters to you
✔ Guiding you in setting boundaries—without guilt
✔ Creating a personalized plan to regain energy and balance
Is Wellness Coaching Right for You?
Wellness coaching isn’t just for people who are struggling—it’s for anyone who wants to feel better, stronger, and more in control of their well-being.
You might find wellness coaching helpful if you:
✔ Feel exhausted or disconnected from yourself and aren’t sure how to fix it
✔ Are navigating a life transition, like menopause, career shifts, or a health diagnosis
✔ Struggle with balancing responsibilities and self-care without guilt
✔ Want to build healthier habits but need support and structure to stick with them
✔ Feel like you should be able to “push through” burnout, but deep down, you know that’s not sustainable
If you see yourself in any of these, you’re not alone—and more importantly, there are ways to make things easier.
Final Thoughts: You Deserve to Feel Good
It’s easy to put yourself last—especially when life is busy, work is demanding, or you’re used to pushing through. But at some point, you have to ask:
💡 What if taking care of yourself didn’t have to be another chore?
💡 What if it could actually feel good?
Wellness coaching is one way to help figure that out, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is this: Your well-being matters.
Whatever step feels right for you—whether it’s a small habit change, a conversation, or just acknowledging that you need support—start there.
📌 What’s one small way you can take care of yourself today?
